Joit extends Tuxedo to allow it to communicate with Java applets. When an applet is downloaded to begin a business transaction, a piece of Jolt code is downloaded with it. The Jolt code running in the Java Virtual Machine can then call back to Tuxedo's Jolt Server to access the services it needs to complete the transaction.
